Later in the year the whole City is looking forward to see for the first time out of London the arrival of Disney’s The Lion King. Tickets are on sale now from the Bristol Hippodrome. In the 13 years the Lion King has been at London’s Lyceum Theatre the show has been seen by 65 million people from across the globe. Our advice would be to get your tickets and accommodation booked early to secure our best deals and apartment special offers.

And to follow Sister Act the most successful touring show in entertainment will be arriving on 23rd January- 29th January 2012, since its world premiere, Lord Of The Dance has become the most talked about, the most written about and the most acclaimed show in musical history.

David Hasselhoff will be starring in the swashbuckling family pantomime Peter Pan from Saturday 10 December 2011 as Captain Hook. Obviously the parents will be aware of the legend that is David Hasselhoff but for the children you might have to explain he’s best known for the iconic roles of Michael Knight in Knight Rider and Mitch Buchanan in the most watched TV show in history, Baywatch and is currently appearing as a judge in Britain’s Got Talent. The hilarious Andy Ford will be returning to the Bristol Hippodrome, starring as Smee. Peter Pan is the perfect treat for the whole family!

Our team are dedicated to friendly service and the stylish, comfortable apartments have all the features for stays long and short. We are constantly looking to improve our facilities and actively encourage feedback from our guests and bookers.

We believe it’s our people that make a stay at Premier Apartments so special and are especially proud Craig Barton is nominated for the Outstanding Customer Service Award. Craig has been with us for 3 years working on reception as an office assistant. He is passionate about our guests and is mentioned time and time again on our website and comment cards. Outside work he enjoys drinking and dining out and keenly shares his recommendations and top suggestions.
In total there are eighteen award categories, comprehensively covering all styles of accommodation and tourist attractions visitors to Bristol might enjoy and the judges face a tough few weeks reviewing each of the finalists and reaching their decision.

We find out who the winners are at a gala awards dinner to be held at Bristol Marriott in the first week of June and hope to bring you great news from it!

Best of luck to everyone involved!

Bristols Best RestaurantsWe’ve spent the last few months eating out in Bristol to compile our very own top 10 restaurants in Bristol guide (we know, hard job but  had to be done).  After much deliberating, digesting and cogitating we think we’re created the ultimate list for our guests and invite you to visit a few and let us know if you agree.

They say Chicken Tikka is Britain’s favourite dish, I can’t speak for the rest of the country but I love a good curry and we’re very lucky to have some excellent curry houses very close by.  For authentic flavours Ganesha is my favourite Indian restaurant in Bristol.  Located about 10 minutes walk from the Apartments the menu has an exciting array of dishes that you rarely see on other Indian restaurants in Britain including Aleepy King Prawn and the spicy Bhagara Baigan.

A short taxi journey from the city centre you will find Rajpoot Restaurant which offers elegant Indian cuisine in a sophisticated setting and is perfect for a special celebration.

For the best of the Italian restaurants in Bristol I have to recommend San Carlo on Corn Street.  Serving the finest food and wonderful wines in luxurious surroundings the restaurant is only 800 metres walk from us.

If you are in the Clifton area our top recommendation for great pizza and pasta is Renatos Numero Uno, set at the top of Whiteladies Road its a lovely spot to enjoy the great views and great food.

Very close to Reantos is one of our favourite Thai restaurants in Bristol the Bangkok House.  Beautifully decorated in traditional Thai style, matched by delicious food and impeccable service.

Just over a mile walk from us is Yum Yum Thai.  As the name suggests, it serves scrummy food but is more stylish and modern ambiance than Bangkok House and is excellent value for money.

Fusing two of my favourite styles of Japanese restaurants in Bristol in one, Masa has Teppanyaki tables where the chefs create your dinner at the hot plate in front of you and also convenient  style conveyor belt: no waiting around just help yourself.

Hard days at work or shopping and can’t walk the mile to Masa on Baldwin Street?  Then Yo! Sushi at Cabot Circus is the perfect alternative.  My trouble is not helping myself to everything that goes past on the conveyor belt!

For the best Chinese restaurant in Bristol try nearby Fuchsia Restaurant on Nelson Street.  The decor is sleek, trendy and ultra modern but the food more than lives up to expectations.  With a resident mixologist serving funky cocktails Fuchsia Restaurant is great for an evening out.

I admit my last choice might not seem as stylish but it definitely deserves its place in my Top Ten.   Pieminister make the best pies in the world (I’m addicted to their Thai chicken pie, large chunks of moist, succulent chicken and just the right amount of pastry…)  Test them out for yourself at either their Corn Exchange (5 mins) or Stokes Croft shops (10 mins walk).

We hope you can enjoy the best restaurants in Bristol with a little help from this guide when you next visit our city.

Premier Apartments Bristol girls out shopping

Premier Apartments Bristol girls out shopping

Bristol has an incredible variety of shops to explore, from small to large, independent boutiques to high-street favourites and everything in between.  Whether you are visiting for a weekend of shopping or browsing during your stay you’ll be spoilt for choice by the range and choice on our doorstep.  Our insider guide will give you the best on Bristol Shopping Centres markets and more.

Boasting over 120 shops, a fantastic 25 restaurants and cafes to choose from and a state of the art 13-screen cinema, Cabot Circus is the most recent addition to Bristol’s amazing shopping experience.  The Centre is just over 1km from Premier Apartments and at the top of the Broadmead area of the city centre where you will find another 300 high street shops and department stores.

Within the Broadmead area you will find the Mall Bristol, a precinct which is home to more independent clothing stores and cafes.  I’m really fond of the Mall as you can pick-up something a little different and bit quirky but great value.

One of Bristol’s most famous streets, Park Street is has a bohemian mix of trendy fashion stores, record shops and jewellery designers.  You will also find some wonderful cafes and restaurants for a spot of lunch or restorative cappuccino.

For a different vibe, I would recommend a visit to the Old City and the historic Bristol Markets.  The historic St Nicholas Market is only 10 minutes walk from the Apartments and features a fantastic selection of fresh produce, organic food, books, clothes, toys and almost anything else you can think of.

Every Wednesday St Nicholas plays host to the Farmers Market for the best locally grown fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy.  The market has some great regulars, I would personally recommend Trethowan’s Dairy – just don’t visit when you’re hungry!

Foodies will fall in love with the Slow Food Market held on the first Sunday of the month.  Here you can find wonderful cured and properly hung meats, traditional cheeses, yoghurt’s and other dairy items, bread freshly made that morning and every other type of fine foods and ingredient made using artisan methods.
On your shopping trip to Bristol you want to get the best value for money and that includes accommodation.  Find out how you can get Bristol hotel prices with double the luxury.
